Q: Why should we not feel like we are smarter or more superior than out grandfathers when we have messed up our ideal world?
A: "If they had not yet fully learned what was necessary to create the world they wanted, the esperience we have since gained out to have equipped us better for the task"(262) in other words, we should have drawn off of their knowlegde and moved farther than they did.
"we shall not grow wiser before we learn that much that we have done was very foolish". Amen.
