Kelsey Marsh-Ch.14

"A complex civilization like ours is necessarily based on the individuals adjusting himself to changes whose cause and nature he can not understand: why he should have more or less, why he should have to move to another occupation, why some things he wants should become more difficult to get than others, will always be connected with such a multitude of circumstances that no single mind will be able to grasp them; or, even worse, thsoe affected will put all the blame on an obvious immediate and avoidable cause, white the more complex interrelationships which determine the change remain inevitably hidden to them."

Q:What if this is why our civilization will fail, what if this is why all of the ones in the past have failed because this statement is true of many?

A: It is mentally impossible to know why things happen in life. I have always been a strong believer that everything happens for a reason, why the reason you may never know. It is impossible for humans to adapt to things they do not know the cause or reason of. Its almost like setting yourself up for failure because you dont know whats to come of it and whats there. Just like you wouldn't go someplace you have never heard of and dont know whats there.
