"The cry for an economic dictator is a characteristic stage in the movement toward planning."
Q: Does the want for an economic dictator which moves you towards planning, knowing that competition determines the plans, mean that you can co-exsist a plan against the competition with no plan, since democracy has the plan against the competition (the dictator) and the dictatorship really has no plan except for that of the dictator himself?
"Hitler did not have to destroy democracy; he merely took advantage of the decay of democracy and at the critical moment obtained the support of many to whom, though they detested Hitler, he yet seemed the only man strong enough to get things done"(76). (Good Quote! Its an interesting way of thinking one i haven't thought of before).
A: Basically you have no plan and a plan against competition at the same time because the democracy in this case works together as a whole using a plan against competition and the dictator himself is the competition while the people who are under his rule have no plan because they have no say in anything due to living under a dictatorship. For example Hitler was the competition and everybody against him came up with a plan against competiton by working as a whole to cancel out his plans, while the nazi's really had no plan because they were just following the dictator.
